  • Are you ready for ShoreTel Version 9?

First, before you do the upgrade, make sure that you are in license compliance. If you upgrade and you are out of compliance, you will have only 45 days to comply with the license requirements before being locked out. Below are the new licenses for ShoreTel 9.

When upgrading it is important for deployments with many sites to remember that dedicated connections to each location (especially those with large amounts of hardware or a DVM (Distributed Voice Mail) Server) will speed the process. Upgrading to a new version requires updates to each piece of equipment and to the Call Manager client. Non-dedicated connections such as a VPN can cause an upgrade to take more time than normal.

Upgrading is no small step, but with careful planning you can prevent issues from arising. If you are unclear about the upgrade process please contact the service department to schedule a time for assistance.
